Langhorne Council for the Arts

LCA proudly supports area students in 6th - 11th grade in their pursuits in visual and performing arts through a scholarship fund, established in April 2008. Scholarship funds are raised through LCA membership dues, ticketed events, and donations.  Your support of LCA is much appreciated!

LCA Scholarship Awards, up to $300 each, can be used for a variety of  enrichment experiences, such as:
Private lessons, Penn State Art or Music camps, and art classes at the Michener Museum, BCCC, or other programs. 


Only 2 scholarships will be awarded to students in grades 6-8.

Only 2 scholarships will be awarded to students in grades 9-11.

One $500 scholarship will be awarded in memory of late board member Robert Gorgas.

Students in Bucks County schools with talent and career goals in art, music, writing, drama, woodworking, and metal working are encourage to apply.

Preference will be given to students with a demonstrated need for financial assistance.

If you are a middle or high school student (grades 6 - 11) interested in applying for this scholarship,  Please click below to obtain the eligibility criteria, application requirements, recommendation form, and deadlines for submission.  Please note that scholarships are NOT for college use, but for student experiences prior to graduation.  Students who have already received a scholarship from LCA are NOT eligible to apply again.

Scholarship winners will be notified by by mid-April.  Scholarships will be awarded at the LCA Spring Soiree on May 5. Scholarship winners may be asked to show their art or perform their music at a future LCA event.
